Travel to Chepstow

She Said:
Arrived London Heathrow somewhat rested (classic crying baby a few rows up.) Smooth flight. Decent wine. Train out to Chepstow. Holed up now in our room at the Castle View Hotel - our room has a view of the Castle (ha!) After a bit of leveling out, we'll check out the (tiny) town and grab some supper. Goal is to stay awake until 9 or 10. Jump on the new time zone. No rain, but plenty of "cloud." So good to be here.

He Said:
A long travel day to get here where we will start our walk, Chepstow, Wales. But, it's good to be here and settling in to our new environs for tonight and tomorrow night.  Chepstow is a border town in Wales and right across the River Wye from England.  After we checked into our room, we set out to have a look around and perhaps even get a meal, it started to rain immediately.  So, back to the room for some rain jackets.
Chepstow is larger than we expected, it's where a few main roads merge, so the one way streets are often filled with traffic queues.
Our hotel is right across the street from Chepstow Castle, something to look at tomorrow.

There is also an event going on called Waltz On The Wye

We saw a few people in period dress and even pith helmets:

The queen, now 60 years on the throne, all the shops have some kind of display.

A small spot of Chepstow history:
